Industry presents case on dual benefit under REC and PAT

An IPMA delegation called on Dr. Ajay Mathur, DG BEE, at his office on 2nd March 2015, to present the case of Pulp and Paper Mills on the issue of dual benefit under REC and PAT. IPMA delegation comprised of Mr. Neehar Aggarwal, Chairman, IPMA Technical & Environment Sub-Committee; Mr. Sandeep Bhalla, Member; and Secretary General.

IPMA presented that in the case of Pulp and Paper Mills, the black liquor boiler and turbine is only one part of the process and it is different from renewable energy based power plants, and therefore, there is no dual benefit.
