CPCB apprised of practical difficulties concerning Charter for WRPP – GRB States

An IPMA delegation met Dr. A K Vidyarthi of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on 18th March 2016 at Parivesh Bhawan, Delhi, regarding the implementation of the Charter for Water Recycling & Pollution Prevention (WRPP) in Pulp & Paper Industries – Specific to Ganga River Basin (GRB) States. The IPMA delegation comprised of Mr. Neehar Aggarwal, Chairman, IPMA Technical & Environment Sub-Committee; Mr. C Kashikar (BILT); Mr. Ajay Gupta (Orient), Mr. Kul Bhushan Chandna (Yash) and Secretary General IPMA. CPCB was apprised of the water conservation measures being taken by the Paper Mills and the practical difficulties being faced in meeting the deadline of 31st March 2016 for achieving the Short term Objectives / Norms and requested for extension of the same.
