Mr. Sanjay Singh, IPMA President, Mr. A S Mehta, Chairman IPMA Commercial & Taxation Sub Committee, and the Secretary General met Mr. Shailendra Singh, Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Government of India, on 17^th June 2015 at Udyog Bhawan on some important issues concerning the Paper Industry relating to the (1) proposal for leasing out of degraded forest land to industry for pulpwood plantation; (2) imposition of a 7-10% special additional duty on import of paper and paperboard; (3) review of the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement (AIFTA); proposed auction of Coal Linkages / LoAs to non-regulated sector.
