Meeting with Union Minister of State for Finance

India is a wood fiber deficient country and inadequate raw material availability domestically is a major constraint for India’s Pulp & Paper Industry. At the same time, export dependent economies are targeting fragile Indian market benefitting from nil / low import duty rates in India. A delegation of Paper Industry under the leadership of IPMA President, A S Mehta had a meeting with Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Union Minister of State for Finance, Indian Paper Manufacturers Association (IPMA) and apprised about the challenges being faced by the industry and the policy interventions required.
