PAPERTECH: Making Indian Pulp & Paper Industry World Class
The Indian pulp and paper sector is one of the energy & water intensive sectors. The sector also offers tremendous scope for improvement in environmental performance.
The energy, water and environmental performance depend on the practices and the technologies employed. Hence, the pulp & paper manufacturers are increasingly on the lookout for technologies and best practices for improving their performance and reducing the ecological footprint.
Against this background, CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre and Indian Paper Manufacturers Association (IPMA) has initiated a movement under the banner ‘Make Indian Pulp & Paper Industry world class’ with the support of all the stake holders of Indian Pulp and Paper Sector.
The main objective is to facilitate continuous improvement of energy, water and environmental performance in Indian paper industry and help them in achieving the world class standards.
As part of this activity, an annual event named PaperTech has been instituted. Crafted on the lines of PowerTech and CemenTech, the objective of the PaperTech program is to identify and share best practices from Indian and Overseas Paper Mills, thrust areas being energy, environment and water.
Launched in the year 2007, PaperTech program has come a long way in view of active participation and interest shown by CEOs of IPMA Member Mills.
The objectives of PaperTech conference are:
- Disseminate the latest trends & Technologies related to energy, water and environmental performance improvement
